toys?
A couple shared a poignant quotation from a time when they were at their store with their daughter E. E asked if there were toy lighters for sale, and the parents laughed, telling her no and thinking it was an absurd question. Then E responded with, "Well, they have toy guns, why not toy lighters?"

Uhhh... you know I gotta say I've got no answer to that question... =)
I'm embarrassed to say I had a toy lighter when I was little. I loved it because it had a little light that glowed when you pushed the button. I don't remember pretending to smoke, but why else would there be a toy lighter? It was the early 60's when smoking was supposedly cool. I suppose I used it as a nightlight or something!!!
